Tammy Teixeira Named EVP and COO of the HEMIC Family of Companies

As we approach the end of 2025, HEMIC is closing in on our fourth consecutive year of strong, topline growth and the achievement of our largest surplus to date.  This remarkable accomplishment is a testament to our collective dedication and hard work.  As we enter 2026, our focus remains steadfast on the strategic growth of our diversified enterprise.  We are committed to providing exceptional risk management offerings that support Hawaiʻi’s employers and their workers by addressing their evolving needs.

In alignment with our strategic objectives and commitment to operational excellence, I am pleased to announce the promotion of Tammy Teixeira to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the HEMIC Family of Companies. In this role, Tammy will oversee the business operations of our companies, including Underwriting & Sales, Claims, Safety & Risk Management, Marketing & Communications, as well as Customer Service. Her leadership will be instrumental to driving our mission forward and delivering innovative and competitive solutions for Hawaiʻi employers and their workforces.  Additionally, Tammy will continue to serve as President of our subsidiary companies, HEMIC Insurance Managers, Inc. (HIMI) and Employers’ Protective Insurance Company (EPIC). This appointment reflects Tammy’s significant contributions to HEMIC’s growth and her unwavering dedication to our mission.
