Congratulations to the 2019 recipients of The Robert L. Dove, Jr. Endowed Scholarship for Insurance Excellence! HEMIC endowed this four-year, renewable scholarship for the Shidler College of Business in honor of our founding CEO, Bob Dove. The scholarship is intended to help grow the future business leaders of Hawai’i by encouraging outstanding Hawai‘i high school graduates to remain in the islands to pursue their education.

The scholarship is merit-based and awarded to an incoming college freshman who has graduated from a Hawai‘i high school and is pursuing a business degree. Preference is given to students with an interest in finance and a concentration in insurance and risk management. Recipients can renew their scholarship for each of the four years of their degree by remaining in the program as a student in good standing and continuing to meet the rigorous GPA requirement.
