In this role, Teixeira will serve as President of HEMIC Insurance Managers, Inc. (HIMI) and Employers’ Protective Insurance Company (EPIC)

HONOLULU, HAWAI‘I — Hawai`i Employers’ Mutual Insurance Company (HEMIC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Tammy Teixeira to Senior Vice President of Business Development. In this new role, Ms. Teixeira will be responsible for HEMIC’s top line revenue through the development of new markets, customers and products, as well as existing sales.

In support of these responsibilities, Ms. Teixeira will serve as President of HEMIC Insurance Managers, Inc. (HIMI) and as President of Employers’ Protective Insurance Company (EPIC). She will continue to oversee agency management, customer service, corporate marketing and corporate communications functions.

Ms. Teixeira’s new role recognizes HEMIC’s continued growth and expansion efforts, and reinforces their long-term strategic commitment to building a larger, more diverse insurance enterprise to serve Hawai`i’s businesses and workers.

Ms. Teixeira joined HEMIC in 2013 as Vice President, Agency Management & Service. Prior to HEMIC, she was the Honolulu Branch Manager for SeaBright Insurance Company. She has a wealth of experience in Workers’ Compensation and Property & Casualty insurance, having served in Claims, Account Service Specialist, and Operations Manager roles with Liberty Mutual, Argonaut Insurance and Eagle Insurance/Kemper (predecessor companies of SeaBright). Ms. Teixeira was born and raised in Hawai`i, studied at Hawaii Pacific University, and has worked in the Honolulu insurance market for her entire career.
