Supporting organizations that care for our local community

Since HEMIC’s inception, more than 20 years ago, we have held that our kuleana extends beyond our daily work. It includes ensuring the sustainability and enrichment of our community.  

HEMIC Foundation was created to formalize and deepen our support of charitable efforts throughout the islands, to enable a nimble response to community needs, and to be a trusted partner with our non-profit grantees. HEMIC Foundation has been pleased to support Kids’ Chance of Hawai‘i, Arthritis Foundation Hawai‘i, Goodwill, Parents and Children Together, Waikīkī Community Center, Girl Scouts of Hawai‘i and many other local organizations. 

At the HEMIC Foundation, we want to be defined not by what we give, but by what we do. We believe in the power of philanthropy not only as an expression of our corporate values, but an important instrument to make independent, innovative investments in community building.  

Believing that it is our kuleana to support in meaningful ways organizations that care for our local community, especially families and children, we are proud to contribute our time, personal efforts, fundraising and financial contributions to make a significant impact in our community and enhance our value to HEMIC.  

We know that our investment in the community will lead to transformative innovations that will help solve society’s biggest challenges and build stronger communities in which we live and work.
