HEMIC Insurance Managers Inc. (HIMI) was created as a service to our agents, to help round out their accounts and provide access to specialty insurance for specific industries unique to Hawai‘i.  

As the Managing General Agent (MGA) and Managing General Underwriter (MGU) for select mainland and international carriers, HIMI offers attractive products from carriers that may not have previously been available in Hawai‘i. Products like specialized liability for non-profits, personal accident, and excess & surplus liability.

For insurance agents, that means access to new markets and new products previously unavailable to their clients. HIMI also operates as a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) for fee-based services including claim handling, safety and risk management, and premium audit to insurers. 

As a subsidiary of HEMIC, HIMI strives to provide businesses and organizations multi-discipline expertise, outstanding reputation, and the size and durability of one of Hawai‘i’s leading insurance companies.
