HEMIC Family of Companies
Since HEMIC's inception over 25 years ago, we've held that our kuleana extends beyond our daily work: it includes ensuring the sustainability and enrichment of our community.
HEMIC was founded to serve the growing needs of Hawai`i’s business community, its employers, and their workers. As a company, we both embrace and exemplify Hawai`i’s unique blend of cultures, beliefs and people that make our islands special.
In Hawai`i, we are taught from an early age to care for each other and to share aloha. At HEMIC, we believe it is our kuleana to support organizations that care for our local community, especially families and children, in meaningful ways.
To formalize and deepen our support of charitable efforts throughout the islands, we created the HEMIC Foundation in 2021. The Foundation enables us to respond nimbly to community needs and to be a trusted partner with our non-profit grantees.
In a short time, the HEMIC Foundation has been able to support Kids' Chance of Hawai‘i, Hawaii Food Bank, Arthritis Foundation Hawai‘i, Goodwill, Parents and Children Together, Institute for Human Services, Waikīkī Community Center, Girl Scouts of Hawaii, Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii, and many other local organizations.
We are proud to contribute with our time, personal efforts, fundraising and financial contributions.
