HEMIC Foundation was created to formalize and deepen our support of charitable efforts throughout the islands, to enable a nimble response to community needs, and to be a trusted partner with our non-profit grantees.
For more than 20 years, HEMIC has been dedicated to thought leadership, innovation, and service. Consistent with our business model, HEMIC Foundation looks to dedicate its resources that support a broad range of needs within our community.
Arts & Culture
The Foundation supports arts and cultural projects and activities that parallels between innovation in art and in science.
Education
We believe that education improves the lives of children, their families, and communities and therefore support programs designed to inspire our future leaders from Pre K through University.
Human Services
The Foundation commits to building stronger and healthier communities by improving human services and support systems, especially for those who need them most.
Health & Wellness
We know that the people we serve are our neighbors and our community and we believe that everyone should have access to care.
The HEMIC Foundation is a non-profit foundation and was formed with the unique ability to respond nimbly to community needs and be trusted partners with our non-profit grantees. The Foundation is funded through HEMIC and its organizational structure follows principles of good governance, effective control rights, and efficiency.
We want to be defined not by what we give, but what we do. We believe in the power of philanthropy not only being an expression of our corporate values, but an important instrument to make independent, innovative investments in community building.
